Srimangale (Moulvibazar) Representative //
The International Right to Information Day was celebrated in Srimangal with the slogan “Open all the doors of the authorities, right to information” and ensuring the inclusion of right to information in the mainstream of the state and the participation of the public sector.
The day was celebrated on Sunday (September 29) afternoon at the Srimangal Government College Auditorium organized by the college and in association with the Conscious Citizens Committee (SANAK) TIB, Srimangal.
Information Rights Act 2009 student orientation, quiz competition and discussion meeting and prize distribution were held on the occasion. President of Conscious Citizens Committee (SANAK) TIB, Srimangal Dipendra Chandra Bhattacharya presided over the function and Principal of Srimangal Government College Professor A.B.M. Mokhleshur Rahman was present as the chief guest.
TIB Srimangal coordinator Md. Abu Bakkar spoke among others, vice president Geeta Goswami, former president of SANAC, veteran journalist Syed Nesar Ahmed, general secretary of the teachers council, Vijay Chandra Debnath and convener of the sub-committee on information, journalist Syed Chayed Ahmed.
At the end of the event, the guests gave prizes to the winners of the quiz competition. Yes members assisted in the event.
