Sunamganj (Shantiganj) Representative //
A person was killed after being hit by a motorcycle in Shantiganj upazila of Sunamganj district.
The incident took place on Monday (October 7) in the area adjacent to Mamdpur Central Mosque of East Pagla Union of the upazila. Two riders on the motorcycle were injured.
The deceased is Siraj Mia alias Virat (50), son of deceased Terab Ali of Damodhartapi village of Shantiganj upazila.
It is reported that a Sylhet-bound motorcycle left Sunamganj while crossing the road on Monday afternoon and hit Siraj Mia when it reached the area adjacent to Mamdpur Central Mosque of East Pagla Union. whose motor cycle no- (Sylhet-Law 12-6709). When he was seriously injured, the locals rescued him and took him to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead. Two other injured motorcyclists are receiving medical treatment.
