Indian goods-livestock worth about 1.5 million rupees seized from Gowainghat border

In the operation of Sylhet Battalion 48 BGB under Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Sylhet Sector, Indian goods and animals worth about one and a half crore rupees have been seized from Gowainghat border area of ​​Sylhet.

On Monday (October 7) raids were conducted at various places in Gowainghat border area and these goods were seized. In a notice on Tuesday (October 8) morning, the captain of 48 BGB Lt. Col. Hafizur Rahman informed this information.

According to the notification, raids were conducted at different borders of Sylhet including Bichnakandi BOP, Pratappur BOP, Sangram BOP of Gowainghat Upazila on Monday. At this time, 796 Indian sarees, 19 cows, 120 kg of poppy seeds, 337 kg of cumin seeds, 186 bottles of wine, 10 bottles of beer, one Mahindra and 2 thousand 133 kg of garlic were seized. BGB said that the process of submitting the seized goods to the customs is going on.
