One person was killed in a clash between two parties in Gunipur village of Lakhai upazila of Habiganj district. Deceased Farid Khan (80) son of deceased Chabu Mia Khan.
According to the sources, the deceased Farid Khan died after undergoing treatment at Dhaka Bangabandhu Medical College Hospital last Friday night.

According to the relatives of the deceased and local residents, at least 15 people were injured in the clash between Nurul Amin Khan Gong and Sorab Mia Gong on September 15 in Gunipur village of Karab Union. As the condition of deceased Farid Khan was serious, he was under treatment at Dhaka Bangabandhu Medical College Hospital. In this incident, both sides filed a case at Lakhai police station. The cases are currently under investigation.

Meanwhile, when the news of Farid Khan’s death spread in the area, a shadow of grief descended on the family. Going to the ground, it was found that the people on the side of Sorab Mia of Gunipur village were empty of men.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Lakhai police station Md. Bande Ali told The Daily Morning Sun that after receiving the news of the deceased, a group of police including sub-inspector Jalal Ahmed and Ayat Uliah went to Gunipur village. At present the situation is normal.
