Sylhet Representative //
Former 26th Ward Councilor of Sylhet City Corporation and Metropolitan Awami League Leader. Taufiq Bux Lipon was arrested by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-9.
He was arrested from Mirabazar area of Sylhet city around 2 o’clock on Tuesday (October 15). There are several cases of murder and sabotage against him in South Surma police station. Lipon is the son of Taslim Bux of Kadmatli area of South Surma.
It is known that around two o’clock on Tuesday, a raiding team of RAB-9 conducted an operation in Mirabazar area under Katyali police station in the city. Tawfiq Box arrested Lipon. RAB said that the process of handing over the arrested Lipon to South Surma police station is in process.
RAB-9 Media Officer Senior SMP Moshihur Rahman Sohel confirmed this.
