Lakhai (Habiganj) Representative //
In Lakhai, the police arrested a married man named Abdullah Al Mamun (35). A group of police arrested him from Manpur Jirunda late last Thursday night. He is the son of deceased Abdul Qadduch of that village.
It is known that Mamun married Safia Akhtar Smriti (25), daughter of Masuk Mia of the same village. They have a son and a daughter. Keeping this family, he married a second time without taking Smriti’s permission. In the incident, Smriti filed a case on August 1, 2022 as a plaintiff. Following this, the court fined him on May 28 last year. When an arrest warrant was issued against him for not paying the fine, he went into hiding. He was sent to jail by the court on Friday.
