The so-called Jubo Dal leader Abul Hashim became reckless during the previous autocratic Awami League government. One of his brothers was a top leader of the Awami League party at that time. On that occasion, he went to Jaintapur upazila with power. About three years ago, Rezwan Karim Sabbir, an upazila correspondent of local and national daily, was not spared from his hands. Then he was tortured by him. Later, the journalist filed a written complaint against him at the Jaintapur Model Police Station, causing a commotion. At one stage, by admitting his mistake, the matter was settled in mediation. But his anarchy did not stop.
After the fall of the Awami League government on August 5, he returned to his previous role. It becomes an addiction to continue to attack, sue and threaten torture or harass anyone by adopting various tactics. A source said there was nothing he could do to cover up his misdeeds. A large syndicate group has formed in the local area. He has already shared the post of joint secretary of Sylhet District Jubo Dal by identifying himself as the Tyagi leader of BNP. But behind the leadership, strategic irregularities and corruption are going on. No journalist is willing to publish objective news against his unethical activities for fear of assault and torture. Due to this, his influence in Jaintapur Upazila is increasing over time. Recently, various audio recorded and video footages of his immoral activities have gone viral on social media Facebook, but the party’s senior officials and the administration are not moving. There has been a negative reaction in the public mind of the local area. It is as if there is no one to restrain his misdeeds.
