A person injured in a clash between two parties over a land dispute in Gowainghat, Sylhet, has died in hospital while undergoing treatment.
The deceased is Selim Mia (30), son of Zahur Ali of Hoaura village in Gowainghat upazila.
Selim Mia died while undergoing treatment at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital on Tuesday evening.
It is learned that a clash took place between the two parties over a land dispute on Monday. When Selim Mia was seriously injured in the incident, locals rescued him and took him to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.
Tofail Ahmed, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gowainghat Police Station, confirmed the truth of the matter. He said that several people were injured in the clash. Selim Mia was seriously injured in the incident. He died while undergoing treatment.
