One person with drugs and one warranted accused have been arrested in Srimangal, Moulvibazar.
On Monday (November 11), a police team led by ASI Md. Jamal Uddin of Srimangal Police Station conducted a raid in Kalighat Tea Garden of the upazila and arrested Md. Shahid Ali, a warranted accused of CR No. Shishu 35/2020. The arrested Shahid Ali is the son of Montaz Ali of Kalighat Tea Garden. In addition, a police team led by Officer-in-Charge Md. Aminul Islam and SI Md. Aminul Islam arrested a person named Ruhul Amin Tuku (35) of Alisharkul village of Bhunbir Union of Srimangal Upazila. Ruhul Amin Tuku is the son of Md. Yunus Mia of Alisharkul village. Later, after searching the arrested Tuku, police members recovered 125 pieces of Yaba from his custody.
Officer-in-Charge of Srimangal Police Station Md. Aminul Islam said that the arrested accused have been sent to jail through the Moulvibazar District Court.
