The first meeting of the newly announced district BNP convening committee of the nationalist party BNP has been held in Moulvibazar. In the meeting, it was announced that all upazila and municipal BNP committees in the district have been dissolved to reorganize Moulvibazar district BNP. Later, convening committees will be formed in all upazilas, municipalities, unions and wards of the district through the convening committee. The leaders said that those who have carried out movements and struggles during the previous authoritarian government and have organizational skills will get a place in the new committee.

Sylhet Division BNP Organizing Secretary and central leader GK Ghaus was present as the chief guest at the meeting held at the conference hall room of a local hotel on Friday (November 15) afternoon.

The meeting was chaired by Moulvibazar District BNP Convener Faizul Karim Mayun and was attended by Sylhet Division BNP Co-Organizing Secretary Kalim Uddin Ahmed Milon and Sylhet Division BNP Co-Organizing Secretary Miftah Siddiqui as special guests. The meeting was moderated by former District BNP General Secretary and District BNP member Mizanur Rahman, and Moulvibazar District Branch Convener, Central Executive Committee Member and Former Member of Parliament M Naser Rahman, Central BNP Executive Committee Member and District Convening Committee Member Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury. Also present among the leaders of the district BNP convening committee were district BNP members and Sadar Thana BNP president Moazzem Hossain Matuk, Abdur Rahim Ripon, Mosharraf Hossain Badsha, Advocate Abed Raja, Maulvi Abdul Wali Siddiqui, Nasir Uddin Mithu, Ashiq Mosharraf, Abdul Mukit, Fakhrul Islam, Muhitur Rahman Helal, Abdul Hafiz, Mahmudur Rahman, Helu Mia, district BNP members and municipal BNP member secretary Monowar Ahmed Rahman, Bakshi Misbaur Rahman, Matin Box, Mahabub Izdani Imran, Advocate Bakshi Zubair Ahmed, Abul Kalam Belal, Jitu Mia, Swagat Kishore Das Chowdhury, Gazi Maruf Ahmed, Abdul Haque, Durud Ahmed, Ashrafuzzaman Khan Nahaj, Selim Mohammad Salauddin, Anisuzzaman Bayes and others.
