The joint forces conducted a raid on the den of notorious drug dealer Sagar in Srimangal, Moulvibazar and arrested 3 people with drug money and drugs.
On Monday (November 18), late at night, the army and police conducted a raid on the den of notorious drug dealer Sagar in Arambagh area of Srimangal town. During this, the house of notorious drug dealer Sagar Ravidas was searched and about 36 thousand taka in cash for selling marijuana and drugs was seized. Swapan Ravidas (27), Moyna Ravidas (60) and Mamata Rani Das (24) were arrested on charges of being involved in drug trafficking in this incident.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Srimangal Police Station Md. Aminul Islam said that the raid is underway on the orders of District Police Superintendent MKH Jahangir Hossain to keep Srimangal Upazila drug-free. A case under the Narcotics Control Act has been filed against 3 accused involved in drug trafficking and they have been sent to prison by the Moulvibazar District Magistrate’s Court.
