The chief adviser of the interim government. Muhammad Yunus said, everyone is equal in the eyes of the law, there is no opportunity to create differences. The main goal of his government is to establish democratic rights and human rights.
He said these things while visiting Dhakeshwari Temple, the national place of worship of Sanatan Dharma followers in the capital today on Tuesday afternoon. At that time, along with the top leaders of Sanatan religions, Asif Nazrul, Advisor to the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs and AFM Khalid Hossain, Advisor to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, were present with him.
Dr. Chief Adviser urging everyone to be patient and united. Yunus said, “I can hear a big difference, we want to build a Bangladesh that is a family, this is the main thing. There is no question of making any distinction between these families. We are people of Bangladesh, Bangladeshis.
Mentioning that if there is justice, everyone will get justice, the chief adviser asked the Sanatan religious people and said, “If there is justice, who will not get justice, tell me?” Is there a chance to see it? Who belongs to any religion, any caste, any community. Does it say in the law that these religions, these communities will go to this court, those communities will go to another court? The law is one, who has the ability to discriminate here?
Urging everyone to be patient and help the government. Muhammad Yunus said, “You will say that “we are people, we are people of Bangladesh. This is my constitutional right, I have to give it.” This is what you want from all governments and nothing else. We have come, we are one people, one right, no distinction can be made. Please help us, be patient. What I could do, what I could not do, will consider later.
At that time, the senior leaders of the community demanded the formation of a commission to judge the persecution and discrimination against the Sanatan religious people in 53 years.
