Youth killed in clash between two parties in Rajnagar

A youth named Syed Mishrab Khan (40) was killed in a clash between two parties over a land dispute in Rajnagar, Moulvibazar.

The incident took place on Friday (December 6) afternoon in Sonatiki village of Munshibazar union of the upazila.

The deceased Mishrab is the son of Syed Rahmat Khan of Sonatiki village of the upazila.

It is learned that in the afternoon, Syed Abdul Hakim Bayes, son of the deceased Syed Tajmul Mia of Sonatiki village, and his brothers started arguing over the land of Syed Mishrab Khan’s son Syed Mishrab Khan’s brothers. At one point in the argument, a clash broke out between the two parties. At that time, Syed Mishrab Khan, son of Syed Rahmat Khan, died on the spot after being hit by the opponent’s country-made weapon. During this time, 7/8 more people from both sides were injured. In the evening, the police reached the spot and calmed the situation.

Rajnagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shah Mohammad Mubashir confirmed the incident and said that the situation is currently calm.
