A complaint has been received in Sylhet about the recruitment of temple-based children and mass education program 6th stage pre-primary teachers through fraud and corruption. On Tuesday, local residents of Sri Sri Bishnu Mandir, Shiv Mandir and Bishahari Mata Mandap in Jaintapur Upazila filed a written complaint with the Sylhet Deputy Commissioner seeking redress.

The complaint states that without publishing the teacher recruitment notice, the former teacher of the temple and temple committee general secretary Mahendra Sarkar and temple committee president Liton Mohan Roy are secretly trying to recruit Mahendra Sarkar’s wife, recruitment committee president Kishore Kumar Mandal and field supervisor Subrata Kumar Dey. Although the recruitment test was supposed to be held on Thursday (December 5) in the first phase, the committee authorities resorted to fraud and corruption and postponed the date of the recruitment test to Monday (December 9).

They also mentioned in the complaint that on the day of the recruitment exam, several other teacher candidates, in addition to Mahendra Sarkar’s wife, participated in the recruitment exam at the Sylhet office office in Puspayan-6, Rifat Complex, South Baluchar area of Sylhet. But since Mahendra Sarkar’s wife is an ISKCON follower, committee president Kishore Kumar Mandal and field supervisor Subrata Kumar Dey misbehaved with other traditional candidates.

The complaint also states that about a year ago, former teacher Mahendra Sarkar left his teaching position at the temple and joined the government service. At that time, he did not manage the center and monitor the education of the students as usual, but instead embezzled the money by withdrawing the salary and allowances in a haphazard manner. At this time, the complainants demanded that legal action be taken against them immediately, including canceling the list of teachers sent in exchange for creating obstacles to the learning of the young students and illegally accepting large sums of corruption.

A relevant source in the Sylhet Deputy Commissioner’s Office confirmed the receipt of the complaint.
