Journalist Naimul Islam Khan, the last press secretary of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and his family members have 163 bank accounts. A total of 386 crore taka has been deposited in these accounts. After withdrawing 379 crore 52 lakh taka, the balance is now only 6 crore 27 lakh taka. This information was given by the Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU).

It is known that Naimul Islam Khan has 91 personal bank accounts. A total of 249 crore taka has been deposited in these accounts. Out of this, he has withdrawn 238 crore 34 lakh taka. Currently, only 64 lakh taka is deposited in his bank account. His wife Nasima Khan Monti has deposited 16 crore 96 lakh taka in 13 bank accounts. Out of this, 13 crore taka has been withdrawn. There is a deposit of 3 crore 90 lakh taka.

His wife Nasima Khan Monti manages 13 bank accounts. 16 crore 96 lakh taka is deposited in these accounts. Of this, he has withdrawn 13 crore taka.

Information has also been found that a large amount of money has been deposited in the bank accounts of their three daughters. 35 lakh taka has been deposited in the account of Adiba Naeem Khan, 1 crore 25 lakh taka in the account of Labiba Naeem Khan and 61 lakh taka in the account of Julika Naeem Khan. They have withdrawn the majority of this money.

In addition, 127 crore 64 lakh taka has been deposited in 46 accounts of Naeemul Islam Khan’s interest-related organizations. He has withdrawn almost all of this money. Currently, only 21 lakh taka is deposited.

According to the intelligence report, Naeemul Islam Khan and his wife and children use a total of 12 credit cards. The total limit of these cards is 28 lakh 35 thousand 367 taka. The cards currently have an outstanding balance of 48 thousand 408 taka.

After the fall of the Hasina government, the Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU), the central bank’s financial intelligence unit, froze the bank accounts of Naimul Islam Khan and his wife and children on August 25. Although they had already withdrawn almost all the money.

When Sheikh Hasina fled in the face of a mass uprising by students on August 5, her press secretary Naimul Islam Khan went into hiding. He then announced the closure of the newspapers he ran.
