An elderly woman named Ahida Khatun (60) was crushed under a tree on the side of the road in Shibnagar village of Madhabpur upazila of Habiganj. She is the wife of Khurshed Mia of Shibnagar village of Chaumuhani union of the upazila. Police recovered the body and sent it to Habiganj morgue for autopsy.
Police said that on Sunday morning, Selim and Motalib started cutting trees in the garden of Ashraf Ali of Shibnagar village. While cutting the tree, a tree fell and fell on Ahida of the village. She was quickly rescued from under the tree and taken to Madhabpur Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared her dead.
In this regard, Chairman of Chaumuhani union Mahbubur Rahman said that the woman died after being crushed under a tree while collecting firewood.
Kashimnagar Police Station SI Suhel Rana told The Daily Morning Sun that the body has been recovered and sent to Habiganj Morgue for autopsy. Legal action is under process.
