A cleanliness drive has been inaugurated as part of the Youth Festival-2025 by the Srimangal Upazila Administration and Municipality of Moulvibazar.
On Monday (January 20), Upazila Executive Officer Md. Islam Uddin was present as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the cleanliness drive on Amjad Ali Road in the municipal area of Srimangal city.
Among others present at the time were Srimangal Municipality Executive Engineer Md. Zahirul Islam, Upazila Engineer Md. Yusuf Hossain Khan, MAC Bangladesh Executive Director S. A. Hamid and others.
Municipality Executive Engineer Md. Zahirul Islam said that from today, the drain built by the municipality on Amjad Ali Road and the branching stream (river) flowing at the end of the drain will be cleaned in phases. So that the flow of water remains normal and waterlogging does not occur. He said, a project is being undertaken to keep these drains and gutters clean.
