Srimangal Upazila and Municipal BNP held a doa mahfil and distributed winter clothes on the 10th death anniversary of Arafat Rahman Koko, the youngest son of Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP founder Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, in Srimangal, Moulvibazar.
On Saturday (January 25), at 3:30 pm, at the local Mohsin Auditorium, at the joint initiative of Srimangal Upazila and Municipal BNP and its affiliated organizations, former Mayor of Srimangal Municipality, member of Moulvibazar District BNP Convening Committee and Director of National Tea Company Md. Mohsin Mia Madhu spoke as the chief guest at the doa mahfil and winter clothes distribution program.
Former General Secretary of Srimangal Upazila BNP Md. The program was presided over by Yakub Ali and moderated by District Jubo Dal Vice President Kazi Abdul Gafur. BNP leaders Millat Hossain Mirashdar, Atiqur Rahman Zarif, Abdul Mosabbir, Alkas Mia, Maqbul Hossain, Abdul Jabbar Azad, Emdadul Haque, Titu Das, Maqbul Hossain, Mobarak Hossain, Transport Workers Leader Misir Ali, Youth Leader Murad Hossain Sumon, District Chhatra Dal Leader Abdur Rahman Khan Pasha, Chhatra Dal Leader Mosharraf Hossain Raj, Krishak Dal Leader Taju Mia, and leaders of Upazila BNP, Municipal BNP and its affiliate organizations were present at the program.
Special prayers were offered at the prayer-mahfil program, praying for the forgiveness of the souls of the late Arafat Rahman Koko and the late President Ziaur Rahman, and for the good health and long life of Begum Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman. The prayer was led by Maulana Abdul Quddus Nizami, Imam and Khatib of Srimangal Jame Mosque.
After the prayer mahfil, winter clothes (blankets) were distributed among 1600 poor people.
