Bangladesh Wildlife Service Foundation in Srimangal has rescued a snake trapped in a net in Srimangal, Moulvibazar.
On Saturday (January 25) afternoon, the residents of the house of a person named Suruj Mia in Noagaon village of the upazila saw a snake trapped in a net on the bank of a pond and were shocked. Later, a person named Shafiq Mia from the area informed the Wildlife Service Foundation. On receiving the information, Wildlife Service Foundation Director Swapan Dev Sajal and environmental activist Rajdeep Dev went and rescued the snake trapped in the net.
Wildlife Service Foundation Director Swapan Dev Sajal told The Daily Morning Sun that the rescued snake is a non-venomous species of snake that is beneficial to agriculture.
He also said that for some conscious people, innocent animals are being rescued alive. People need to be made more aware. We are advising you not to kill various animals, including snakes, and to inform us or the Forest Department.
