A construction worker has died in the airport area of Sylhet. He was working on the 3rd floor of a 12-story building.
The incident occurred on Thursday (January 30) in the area adjacent to the airport bypass at around 10 am.
The deceased worker is Md. Rubel Mia (18), son of Asad Ali of the Mongli border area.
It is learned that he fell from the 3rd floor of the building this Thursday morning while working on the construction work. Later, he was rescued in an injured condition and taken to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, where the doctor on duty there declared him dead. The deceased’s uncle Shakil Hossain Sourav confirmed the truth.
In this regard, Airport Police Station Officer-in-Charge Syed Anisur Rahman said that he has received news of the worker’s death. The police are going to the hospital.
