A huge python snake came out from under the floor when the floor of the mosque was broken in Srimangal, Moulvibazar. Later, the locals got scared and informed the Wildlife Service Foundation. After receiving the news, the Wildlife Service Foundation rescued the snake and handed it over to the Forest Department.
The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon at a mosque in Noagaon village of Srimangal upazila.
Swapan Dev Sajal, director of the Wildlife Service Foundation, said that the locals were scared when they saw the python snake when the floor was broken while working in the mosque. We rescued the snake and brought it back. Environmental activists Rajdeep Dev and Swaraj Dev were with them at that time. The snake is about 9 feet long and weighs 7 kg.
