The police have recovered the hanging body of an old man in the rural area of ​​Doarabazar upazila of Sunamganj district. The body of the deceased was recovered from the rural area of ​​Chengaiya village in Pandargaon union of the upazila early on Sunday.

The deceased is Sarkum Ali, son of the deceased Konai Mia of Chengaiya village.

According to the family of the deceased and local sources, old Sarkum Ali was sleeping in his bedroom on Saturday (February 22) night as usual. The next morning, locals saw the old man’s hanging body with a rope around his neck from the edge of a nearby thatched house and informed the police. Later, Doarabazar police reached the spot and after preparing a report on the deceased, recovered the body and sent it to the morgue for autopsy. The exact cause of death was not immediately known.

The truth of this matter was confirmed to The Daily Morning Sun by Doarabazar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Zahidul Haque. He said that a case of accidental death has been registered at the police station in this regard.
