A discussion meeting, Iftar and Doa Mahfil on the virtues and significance of the month of Ramadan, organized by the Jaintapur Upazila Branch with the funding of Md. Babul Hossain, the expatriate advisor of the Pacific Club of Bangladesh, London expatriate, was held.

On Wednesday (March 19), at the Ma Community Center Darbastha, under the direction of Shahid Ali, the organizing secretary of the Upazila Branch, and under the chairmanship of Tariqul Islam, the President of the Central Branch of the Pacific Club of Bangladesh, Harunur Rashid Harun, was present as the chief guest and spoke.

The Senior Vice President of the Central Branch and the President of the District Branch, Md. Faruk Ahmed, spoke as the main speaker.

Present as special guests were Jaintapur Upazila BNP Vice President Suel Ahmed, Jamaate Islami Bangladesh Jaintapur Upazila Branch Amir Golam Kibria, Pacific Club of Bangladesh Central Branch General Secretary Abdus Shakur, Vice President Shamim Ahmed, District Branch Vice President Ilias Ali Saju (Member), Fakhrul Islam (Member), General Secretary Saiful Islam Shipon, Assistant General Secretary Journalist Md. Abdullah, Organizing Secretary Badrul Alam Shakil, Assistant Publicity Secretary Tarek Ahmed, Hospitality Secretary Alauddin, Member Azadur Rahman Azad, and others.

Speaking at the discussion, the speakers said that the goals and objectives of this organization are to be by the side of the helpless and poor people of the society, and to provide social services and improve education. In their speech, they called for preserving the sanctity of the holy Ramadan and highlighting the significance of Ramadan in front of everyone.

The invited guests were Jaintapur Online Press Club President Mainul Morsalin Ruhel, Jaintapur Press Club Executive Member and Online Press Club Advisor Nazmul Islam, Gowainghat Press Club Member NTV Sylhet Correspondent Kawsar Ahmed Rahat, Jaintapur Online Press Club Member Saiful Islam Babu, Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh No. 5 Fatepur Union Branch Vice President Sayed Ahmed, and Taib Ali Technical College Teacher Eng. Monir, among others.

Also present were Pacific Club of Bangladesh Jaintapur Upazila Branch Vice President Fakhrul Master, Zahir Uddin Master, Emdad Ullah, Abdur Rahim Master, Ashiq Uddin, General Secretary Faruk Ahmed, Senior Joint General Secretary M Gaus Uddin, Assistant General Secretary Sultan Ahmed, Assistant Organizing Secretary Sadiqur Rahman, Mostaq Ahmed, Shakil Ahmed, Finance Secretary Bilal Ahmed, Darbast Union Branch President Harunor Rashid, General Secretary Shahid Ahmed, Organizing Secretary Nurul Islam, Fatepur Union Branch General Secretary Ismail Ali Yasa, Vice President Subed Ali, Assistant Secretary Ashiq Ahmed, members Arif Uddin Akil, Suleman Ahmed, Salman Ahmed, leaders of various levels of central, district, upazila and union branches of Pacific Club and quality political and social leaders of the area.

At the end of the discussion meeting, a special prayer was held under the leadership of Maulana Harunur Rashid, seeking peace for the country and the entire Muslim Ummah. At the event, Pacific Club’s London expatriate advisor Md. Babul Ahmed and advisor Joynal Ahmed were presented with honorary crests, and their family members received the crests.
