Hridoye Srimangal, a UK-based social organization in Srimangal, has distributed food items to 1200 families during the holy month of Ramadan, like every year.
On Thursday (March 20), Hridoye Srimangal President Abdur Rakib Raju was present as the chief guest at the food distribution ceremony at the Zilla Parishad Auditorium on Bhanugach Road, Srimangal.
Under the chairmanship of the organization’s coordinator Faisal Ahmed, the program coordinator Md. Abdul Majid and Abdur Rahman Khan Pasha moderated the program’s associate coordinator Abdul Rob Rubel delivered a welcome speech and one of the program’s coordinators Md. Mobarak Hossain delivered a welcome speech.
Special guests at the event included Jalal Uddin Zipu, a member of Hridoye Srimangal who lives in the UK, Moshabbir Ali Munna, program coordinator advisor, Md. Ekramul Kabir, Moshaddar Ali, Pratap Goala, Kazi Kamrul Islam Babul, Niazuddin Khokon, and Maulana Hafez Mohammad Abdul Quddus Nizami, Khatib of Srimangal Thana Jame Mosque.
The organization’s general secretary Abdullah Al Mamun Titu and the organization’s chief executive MA Haque Kayes expressed their gratitude to everyone for joining the event virtually and implementing the program.
It is worth noting that the organization has been contributing to various social activities for the past 5 years. It has already done various service works including free computer and IT training courses, distribution of rickshaws, and distribution of sewing machines among women from poor families for the purpose of employment for the unemployed.
