Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP Sylhet District Branch, Jaintapur No. 1 Nijpath Union Branch, Jaintapur No. 2 and Charikata Union Branches, BNP, Jubo Dal, Sechchhasebak Dal, Sramik Dal and Chhatra Dal, jointly organized by BNP, Juba Dal, Sechchhasebak Dal, Sramik Dal and Chhatra Dal, and in coordination with Upazila BNP, a discussion meeting and Iftar and Doa Mahfil were held on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and March 26, Independence Day, on the instructions of the country’s national hero Tarique Rahman.
On Wednesday (March 26), at the historic Rajkumari Iradebi ground, under the chairmanship of Upazila BNP Senior Vice President Abdul Ahad and under the direction of General Secretary Abdul Hafiz, Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP Central Executive Committee Co-Organizing Secretary Miftah Siddiqui was present as the chief guest and spoke.
Speaking as special guests on the occasion were former Sylhet District BNP convener Advocate Nurul Haque, Senior Joint General Secretary Ishtiaq Ahmed Siddiqui, Joint General Secretary Advocate Mujibur Rahman, Organizing Secretary Shamim Ahmed, District Jubo Dal General Secretary Moksud Ahmed, Jaintapur Upazila BNP convener Abdul Matin, Enayet Ullah, Former General Secretary Muhibul Haque Muhib, Current Organizing Secretary Intaz Ali, Former Joint Secretary Masuk Ahmed, Current Publicity and Publication Secretary Aminul Islam Suhel, District Krishak Dal Joint Convener Altaf Hossain Belal, Upazila Krishak Dal Convener ABM Zakaria, Member Secretary Al Mamun, BNP Executive Member Dulal Ahmed, among others.
Also present were Upazila Jubo Dal convener Baharul Alam Bahar, senior joint convener Sohel Ahmed, joint convener Sabbir Ahmed, Jubo Dal leaders Yajul, Selim, Russell, Dulal, Rubel, Shahed, Muktadir Al Selim, Upazila Swechchhasebak Dal joint convener Abdul Mutlib, member secretary Abdullah Ilias, Upazila Chhatra Dal acting member secretary M Shahin Alam, Jahangir Alam, Upazila JASAS president Mamun Mia, general secretary Sajid Ahmed Tarek, district-upazila and union BNP associate organization leaders and prominent murabbians of the area.
Before Iftar, a special prayer was held for the good health of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman and for building a country in the spirit of the Liberation War.
