A housewife committed suicide by jumping from the 6th floor in the Amberkhana area of Sylhet city. Later, after receiving news of the incident, the body of the deceased was recovered and sent to the morgue for autopsy.
On Tuesday, April 1st, the housewife jumped from the 6th floor of the 8th house in the Amberkhana area of the city.
The deceased housewife is Sabiha Sultana (37), daughter of the deceased Mohi Uddin of the Shologhar Colony Road area of Sunamganj Sadar Police Station. Her husband Md. Faisal Imam is working at Bangladesh Biman Airlines. They have a ten-year-old child. Currently, they were living in the 6th floor of the 8th house in the Amberkhana area.
It is learned that Sabiha jumped from the 6th floor of the flat at around 9 am on Tuesday, unnoticed by everyone. At one point, his body was trapped on the cornice of the second floor of the third floor of a neighboring house. Upon receiving the news of the incident, a fire service team reached the spot and recovered the body of the deceased. Meanwhile, the Airport Police Station police, after preparing the body of the deceased, sent it to the Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Confirming the truth of this matter, Airport Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Syed Anisur Rahman said, after talking to the deceased’s brother and husband, it was learned that he was mentally ill and was undergoing treatment. Initially, it is believed that he committed suicide. Details will be known after the autopsy report.
