Sylhet Metropolitan Hawkers’ Party Rally to Protest Israeli Atrocities and Express Solidarity with Palestinians

Staff Reporter //

Sylhet Metropolitan Hawkers’ Party has held a protest and solidarity rally to protest the Israeli barbaric genocide and atrocities in Gaza and Rafah, Palestine, and to express solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians.

On Thursday (April 10), the rally started from the city’s Surma Point at 3 pm and after parading various roads, it went to Sylhet Central Shaheed Minar to meet for a rally.

Speakers at the rally said that the terrorist state Israel, supported by the West, is carrying out indiscriminate genocide in Gaza. Although the entire Gaza Valley has been turned into ruins and a city of death due to the barbaric aggression of the occupying Israelis, the world leaders are playing the role of silent spectators. They said, our hearts are heavy for the Muslims of Palestine. We have full solidarity with them. The speakers also said, if Ziaur Rahman had been alive, he would have taken effective initiatives for the Palestinians, just as he had played a courageous role during the Iraq-Iran war, and Israel would not have dared to commit such atrocities. Genocide has started in Palestine long ago with the direct and indirect support of some of the world’s superpowers. Today, the Palestinian people are refugees in their own country. However, the leaders of the Muslim world have no effective role in this regard. The speakers called on the international community to immediately take effective steps to stop the genocide in Gaza.
