Sylhet Metropolitan BNP Vice President and Bangladesh Nationalist Business Party Central Executive Committee Senior Vice President Sadiqur Rahman Sadik said that the forces defeated in the July Revolution movement are conspiring to establish the current interim government as a failure by creating chaos in the country in various ways. Everyone, including the business community and political parties, must work together to prevent all the conspiracies of fascist Sheikh Hasina and her cronies. He called on the interim government to complete the reforms quickly within the specified time and take measures for a free and acceptable election and provide an opportunity for the people to exercise their voting rights.
He said these words while speaking as the chief guest at a meeting held on Sunday evening on the occasion of the formation of the Bangladesh Nationalist Business Party Sylhet Sadar Upazila branch committee.
The meeting, chaired by the President of the Nationalist Business Party Sylhet District Branch, Shoaib Ahmed, and conducted by the Weaver Affairs Secretary of Sylhet District BNP, Abdul Malek, was attended by special guests, including the President of the Nationalist Business Party Sylhet Division, Shamsul Islam, Divisional General Secretary Abdus Shukur, Divisional Organizing Secretary Badsha Ahmed, General Secretary of the Sylhet District Branch, Nurul Islam Chanchal, Sylhet Metropolitan President Shamim Ahmed, Metropolitan General Secretary Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan, Sylhet Metropolitan Krishak Dal Climate Affairs Secretary Abdur Rahim, Sadar Upazila BNP leader Mamun Al Rashid Helal, Russell Ahmed, former district Jubo Dal leader Saddam Hossain, Abdul Haque Business Party Sadar South Upazila Branch President Ripon Mia, General Secretary Shamim Ahmed, Joint Secretary Junaid Ahmed, Sadar Thana Business Party leader Imran Gazi, among others.
In the meeting, a 9-member Bangladesh Nationalist Businessmen’s Party Sylhet Sadar Upazila partial committee was formed with Md. Azad Mia as the president and Abul Kalam Azad as the general secretary. Other leaders of the committee are – Senior Vice President Imran Gazi, Vice President Md. Siddiqur Rahman, Organizing Secretary Ansar Ali, Assistant General Secretary Md. Badrul Hossain, Assistant General Secretary Nesar Ahmed, Assistant Organizing Secretary Md. Zakir Hossain and Publicity Secretary Md. Mozaid. Later, the leaders congratulated the newly formed committee by presenting flowers.
