A meeting of the coordination committee of the Sylhet Metropolitan Qawmi Madrasa Oikya Parishad was held at the Majameya Mahmudia Sobhanighat Madrasa on Saturday at 7 am.

In the meeting held under the chairmanship of Muhtamim Mufti Mujibur Rahman Hafizahullah of Darul Huda Madrasa, one of the coordinators, it was decided to form a full-fledged committee of Hefazat-e-Islam Sylhet District and Metropolitan, established by Shaykhul Islam Allama Ahmed Shafi (RA), along with scholars Ulama and martyrs, blood-stained Prophet lovers, and to take action in coordination with the ulema of Sylhet, political leaders, social and prominent figures of Sylhet after the successful rally at Sylhet Court Point after Jumma on May 23 as part of the nationwide Hefazat protest program.

The meeting also decided to take instructions and advice from the central leaders in this regard. In addition, the meeting decided to exchange views with the respected advisory board of the council and organize a meeting of the advisory committee at Jamia Qasimul Uloom Dargah Madrasa after Maghrib on May 14.
The meeting took an initiative to strengthen the activities of the council through a special meeting with the heads of the madrasas of Sylhet metropolis at Naya Sarak Madrasa on May 21 after Maghrib.

The meeting was attended by Muhtamim Maulana Saifullah of Naya Sarak Madrasa, Muhtamim Hafez Maulana Syed Shamim Ahmed of Shamimabad Madrasa, Ustad Maulana Shah Momshad Ahmed of Jamia Madania Kazir Bazar, Muhtamim Hafez Maulana Fakhruz Zaman of Faridabad Madrasa, Muhtamim Maulana Rafiqul Islam Mushtaq Ahmed of Jhalopara Women’s Madrasa, Senior Ustad Maulana Neyamatullah Khasdbiri of Jamia Darus Salam Madrasa, Ustad Mufti Rashid of Jamia Qasimul Uloom Dargah, etc.

Muhtamim Maulana Ahmed Kabir of Jamia Mahmudia Sobhanighat Madrasa, although he was not present due to illness, declared his full solidarity with the decisions of the meeting.
