A discussion meeting was held on the initiative of the Padma Businessmen’s Association and the residents of Kajalshah, Bhatalia, South Kajalshah, West Kajalshah, Madhushad, Laladighirpar and surrounding areas on the Osmani Medical Road area of Sylhet city, including general issues including keeping it free from hawkers and traffic congestion.
In the meeting held at the office of Abdul Qayyum Jalali Panki in Bhatalia area on Friday (May 23) night, businessmen and dignitaries of the area discussed various issues.
The discussion meeting was presided over by Abdul Qayyum Jalali Panki, President of the Padma Businessmen’s Association and Convener of the Osmani Medical Patient Interest Protection Committee. In his speech, the president said that the Osmani Medical Road area has been made free from hawkers due to the united efforts of the elders, youth and businessmen. Our united efforts will continue to ease the suffering of patients and the common people and to resolve traffic congestion. We will not tolerate any kind of immoral activities in this area. He called on the concerned to take measures to stop the violence of brokers, traffic congestion, theft, robbery and harassment of patients. The meeting decided to form a monitoring committee to keep the Osmani Medical Road area free from traffic congestion and hawkers.
