The National Democratic Party (NDP) has announced a mass communication, leaflet distribution and road meeting in Sylhet city on August 6 to protest against the granting of refuge to fugitive fascist Hasina in India and demand her return.

On Saturday (July 19) afternoon, the National Democratic Party (NDP) Sylhet Metropolitan Branch initiated mass communication and leaflet distribution from the city’s Court Point.

After mass communication and leaflet distribution at various points, National Democratic Party (NDP) Presidium Member Asadur Rahman Khan Asad addressed a road meeting as the chief guest at the city’s City Point, Nagri Chattar. Special guests included Organizing Secretary and Sylhet Metropolitan President Shahjahan Ahmed Liton, Information Affairs Secretary and Sylhet Metropolitan General Secretary Shahjahan Ahmed Saju, JAGPA Dhaka Metropolitan President Shyamal Chandranath, Sylhet Metropolitan Vice President Peer Hossain, JAGPA Chhatra League Central President Abdur Rahman Farooqui, Sramik JAGPA Central Committee General Secretary Monowar Hossain, Sylhet District JAGPA Chhatra League leader Abdullah Al Mamun, Sohel Ahmed and others.

The leaders at the roadshow said that Sheikh Hasina was not the Prime Minister of Bangladesh but would have served as the Chief Minister of India by making Bangladesh a tributary state of India. The Delhi government has proven this by giving shelter to the genocidal fascist Sheikh Hasina with state status.
The speakers also said that Indian aggression must be stopped in all aspects including giving shelter to the genocidal fascist Sheikh Hasina, killings on the border, land grabbing, illegal push-ins, not giving a fair share of water, interfering in the country’s internal affairs and elections. Fascist Sheikh Hasina and her cronies must be tried for the July, Peelkhana, Shapla, anti-Modi movement and Logi-Baitha massacre. The Awami League, the evil force of disappearances, murders, attacks, cases, looters, money launderers and anti-politics, must be tried. The leaders called on everyone to work together to make the Indian embassy in Dhaka on August 6 a success in protest against the granting of state asylum to the genocidal fascist Hasina for 1 year and in demand of returning the murderer Hasina.
