An 8-year-old Madrasa student named Md. Toha died after falling from a tractor driven by his father and being crushed under its wheel in the northern part of Fatikchhari Upazila, Chattogram.

The accident occurred on Wednesday (September 9) afternoon in the East Bhujpur area of ​​the Upazila.

Md. Toha was the son of Korban Ali from the Company Tila area of ​​the Upazila. He was a student in the Hifz department of a local Madrasa.

According to local sources, Korban Ali is a tractor driver by profession and works on tilling land. On Wednesday morning, as on any other day, he was traveling with his son on the tractor. At one point, Toha accidentally fell off the vehicle and was crushed under the wheel, dying instantly at the scene.

Kutub Uddin, a neighbor of the deceased, said that Toha was studying to become a Hafiz of the Quran at a local Madrasa. Instead of going to the Madrasa on Wednesday, he had gone out with his father on the tractor. He accidentally fell from the vehicle and was crushed to death by the wheel.

Bipul Chandra Dey, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhujpur Police Station, stated that the child’s body was handed over to the family following legal formalities.
