RAB-3 has arrested three people on charges of attacking students with sharp weapons during the anti-discrimination student movement. They were arrested from Jatrabari area of the capital around 2 am on Thursday.
RAB’s legal and media wing confirmed this information in a press release on Friday. It is said that Liton Akand and his two accomplices took part in the attack on students in Jatrabari area with sharp weapons. During the arrest, indigenous weapons, drugs and gunpowder were recovered from them.
Video footage of Litton attacking the protesters with chapati went viral on social media. Following this, Litton and his two accomplices were arrested. The names of two accomplices of the arrested Liton Akande are not known.
