Anti-Corruption School Debate Competition held at Srimangal

A school debate competition was held at Srimangal in Moulvibazar with the slogan ‘To build a country free from corruption, it will be a golden Bangladesh’.

The debate competition was organized by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), Sajeka Habiganj and Upazila Anti-Corruption Committee (UPAC) Srimangal at Srimangal Mohsin Auditorium on Thursday (September 26) morning.

Former Vice Principal of Srimangal Government College Professor Rafi Ahmed Chowdhury was present as the chief guest on the occasion.
Under the chairmanship of Upazila Corruption Prevention Committee (DUPRAC) Srimangal Vice President A.N.M. Wahiduzzaman and moderated by member journalist Syed Chayed Ahmed, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Dilip Kumar Vardhan, TIB Srimangal President Dipendra Kumar Bhattacharya were present as guests. Md. Saiful Islam, Head of Department of Bengali Department of Srimangal Government College, Debashish Chowdhury Raja, a retired government official, and Jayshree Chowdhury, a former female vice-chairman of the two party members.
Kawshar Iqbal, member of Duprak Srimangal, Senior Journalist gave welcome speech on the occasion. Srimangal Government Girls High School, Victoria High School, Border Guard High School and Shah Mustafa Jamia Islamia High School participated in the debate competition.
Victoria High School was the champion and Border Guard High School was the runner-up in the debate.

Nazmin Akhter, team leader of Border Guard High School, also won the best speaker award. Former Vice Principal of Srimangal Government College Prof. Rafi Ahmed Chowdhury, Head of Department of Bengal, Md. Saiful Islam and Duprak member and Headmaster of Paul Harris Rotary High School Dil Afroz served as judges in the competition and retired government official Debashish Chowdhury Raja served as moderator. Anskan, a student of Victoria High School, was responsible for the timing. In addition to members of Duprak, teachers, students, parents, representatives of various professions were also present in the event. At the end of the ceremony, the guests presented the prizes and appreciation letters to the winners.
