Science Fair 2024 was held at Srimangal The Buds Residential Model School and College in Moulvibazar.
On Thursday (November 21) morning, the inaugural ceremony of the fair was presided over by The Buds Residential Model School and College Principal Md. Jahangir Alam. The inaugural discussion, moderated by teachers Reba Rani Baral and Md. Rafiqul Islam, was attended by Finley House’s Chip Operating Officer and The Buds Residential Model School and College President Tahsin A Chowdhury. After the inauguration, the chief guest visited the stalls of the fair. At this time, Board of Governors members GM Shibli, Amjad Hossain, Governing Body members Md. Nur Nabi, Nazma Rahman Mukta, Md. Selim Reza. The teachers of the institution were also present.
There were a total of 76 stalls at the fair, including 44 from Group A (3rd – 5th grade), 18 from Group B (6th – 8th grade), 9 from Group C (9th – 10th grade), and 4 from Group D (11th and 12th grade). The guests said that the idea of discovery through various small projects of the students at the fair will impress anyone. The young students of the institution have created unique and general concepts through a total of 76 projects including solar power, greenhouse, waste water treatment plant. Inventions from various branches of science were displayed at the stalls of the fair. Assistant Professor Mihir Ranjan Debroy, Senior Lecturer Md. Nazrul Islam, Assistant Teachers Suparna Debnath and Abhijit Singh served as judges.
