After nearly a month of deadlock, educational programs are starting in full swing tomorrow on Sunday. The Ministry of Education has given this order to start the education program in full swing in the educational institutions under its control.
At one stage of the quota reform movement, there was a conflict. In view of this, from last July 17, considering the safety of the students, the class activities of the educational institutions were announced for an indefinite period.
After that, classes were supposed to start in all the remaining government primary schools of the country except 12 city corporations and Narsingdi municipality from August 4. But due to the situation in the country it was stopped. Sheikh Hasina’s government fell on August 5 in the face of the movement. It was decided to open educational institutions from August 7.
But in the situation that arose, there was not much teaching in the educational institutions. Attendance was also negligible. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education ordered the opening of primary schools in full swing and the start of class activities. Later, the Ministry of Education also issued instructions in this regard.
These instructions will mainly apply to schools, colleges, madrasas and technical educational institutions. Because, decisions about the academic activities of the universities are made in the respective universities.
In the ongoing situation, many teachers in various positions including Vice-Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor, Proctor, Hall Provost have resigned. As a result, it is assumed that it may take some more time for all the universities to become fully operational.
