Moulvibazar learned court has released Mohsin Mia Madhu, a member of the Srimangal district BNP convening committee and former municipal mayor of Moulvibazar.
He returned to his home in Srimangal from the district jail after receiving bail from the Moulvibazar court on Thursday (April 3).
Earlier, Moulvibazar district convener Faizul Karim Mayun, member secretary Abdur Rahim Ripon, and former BNP central leader Advocate Abed Raja condemned the arrest of former mayor Mohsin Mia on his social media account Facebook and demanded his immediate release.
Demanding the release of the former mayor, Md., senior joint convener of Srimangal Volunteer Party, demanded the release of the former mayor. Ashraf Uddin Jahangir and Joint Convener Sabbir Talukder, Senior Joint Convener of Srimangal Upazila BNP Convening Committee Atiqur Rahman Zarif and Joint Convener Khandaker Abul Moin Gofran Tarek.
The leaders of Srimangal Upazila BNP and party organizations have condemned the arrest of BNP leader Mohsin Mia Madhu and demanded his release.
It is worth noting that on the night of March 30, the army arrested 14 people including former Mayor Mohsin Mia Madhu in a clash over tomtom parking in front of a shop called Mayor’s Binalabher Bazar in Gadarbazar of Srimangal town. Later, the detainees were handed over to Srimangal Police Station, and the police sent them to jail through the court.
