ASIs to be appointed in 2,000 vacant posts across the country, including Sylhet

File photo. The list of vacant posts for Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI-Unarmed) in Bangladesh Police has been published by the district. According to the published list, a total of 2,000 vacant posts will be appointed across the country, including Sylhet.

This information was given in a notification published on the Bangladesh Police website on Sunday (June 14).

The notification shows that there are a total of 138 vacant posts in Sylhet division. Of these, 48 posts will be appointed in Sylhet district, 34 in Sunamganj, 29 in Habiganj and 27 in Moulvibazar. Candidates will be appointed on the basis of merit in 93 percent of the total posts and the remaining 7 percent posts will be appointed according to quota. Under the quota system, 1 percent quota has been reserved for physically disabled and third gender candidates, 1 percent for minority ethnic groups and 5 percent quota for freedom fighters, martyred freedom fighters and children of heroines.

Bangladesh Police has invited interested and eligible candidates to apply for 2,000 vacant posts across the country by following the prescribed conditions. The application process has been asked to follow the instructions mentioned in the relevant notification.
