US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent Christensen paid a courtesy call on Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman. A delegation led by Ambassador Christensen visited the Army Headquarters on Monday for this meeting.
During the meeting, alongside exchanging pleasantries, they discussed the existing cordial relations between Bangladesh and the United States, as well as the maintenance of defense and military cooperation.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) directorate announced this information in a press release on Monday.
The release stated that the US Ambassador highlighted Bangladesh’s significant contributions to international peace and security. He also commended the professionalism, discipline, and competence demonstrated by members of the Bangladesh Special Forces during ‘Exercise Tiger Lightning’ alongside the United States Army Pacific (USARPAC).
