A policeman’s wife Nadia Begum (18) committed suicide by hanging herself due to a family dispute at Kalkini in Madaripur. However, Nadia’s relatives claim that Nadia was strangled.

This incident happened on Saturday (June 22) morning.

Nadia is a resident of Kanurgao village in Khaserhat area of ​​Banshgari upazila and wife of Zahid Hossain, policeman of Shariatpur Damudya police station.

According to the hospital and the victim’s family, Nadia, the daughter of Julhas Talukdar of Paripat village in Banshgari area of ​​the upazila, was found hanging with a veil wrapped around her neck inside her residence. Later he was rescued by family members and taken to Kalkini Hospital where doctors declared him dead. Later Kalkini police recovered Nadia’s body.

Kamarul Islam, a relative of Madaripur Judge Court, said that Nadia’s husband Zahid used to beat Nadia for dowry while on vacation. Zahid beat Nadia severely while sitting in an empty house on Friday night. After killing Nadia by strangulation, Zahid hanged her by twisting the veil from the ceiling of the house. Zahid covered his body after the incident. We have made all preparations to file a case. We demand severe punishment for Zahid.

However, when asked about this matter, the accused husband Zahid was not available on the phone.

In this regard, Kalkini police station OC Sarkar Abdullah Al Mamun said that after the autopsy, it will be possible to say how Nadia died. However, legal action will be taken in this matter.
