In the case of the injury of a mother of 5 children, including two children, in Kanaighat, almost twenty days have passed, but the police have not arrested any accused till date. The defendants are threatening the plaintiff and his family to withdraw the case. As neighboring houses, the defendants are planning how to attack the living room of the plaintiff every night. Juned Ahmed Chowdhury, husband of injured Nazneen Akhtar’s day laborer told this reporter. He confirmed this information on Thursday (September 26) night.
He said that the defendants, along with some of the top terrorists of the local area, were sitting at his residence around 11:30 pm on Thursday and planning to attack again. At that time, Jamil (28) son of Raich Mia and Shibbir Molya Gong, son of Abdul Mutlib, of the same Fatehganj village accompanied the defendants. Locally, they are identified as mercenary terrorists and brokers. Badi is scared of their plot. He and his family are suffering from extreme insecurity. Meanwhile, attempts to contact Jamil and Shibbir were unsuccessful.

When I contacted SI Morshed, the investigating officer of the Kanaighat police station, no statement was received as his mobile phone was switched off.

It should be noted that a mother of 5 children, including two children, was seriously injured in an attack by opponents in Fatehganj village of No. 9-Rajaganj Union of Kanaighat Upazila of Sylhet on Friday, September 6. Later, when Nazneen Akhtar filed a case in the Sylhet High Court seeking redressal and justice, the court took cognizance of the case and ordered the Kanaighat Thana Police to consider the FIR. whose case No. 302/24. However, the Thana police filed an FIR as per the order of the court. But for mysterious reasons, even after twenty days of the case, the police could not arrest any of the accused.

The accused are Salim Mia’s son Tamim Ahmed (20), daughter Tuli Begum (22), Salim Mia’s wife Lobna Begum (35) and deceased Sajjad Ali’s son Salim Mia (45).
