Upazila Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate Farzana Akhter Mita has issued section 144 banning all kinds of meetings and gatherings at railway parking in Shaestaganj upazila of Habiganj district for 4 days.

According to upazila administration sources, Ahle Sunnat Ulama Parishad prepared for Siratunnabi (PBUH) Mahfil from Saturday 28th September at Shaistaganj Railway Parking area. On the same date, Dakshin Habiganj Ahle Sunnat Oikya Parishad and Tahfizul Qur’an Sunni Foundation Bangladesh jointly organized processions in celebration of Miladunnabi (PBUH) on Holy Eid, announced human chain and protest against the attack on various shrines and mosques. To address the matter, on Tuesday (September 24), Upazila Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate Farzana Akhter Mita held a meeting in the presence of political leaders. As both parties were adamant about holding the event, section 144 was issued declaring all kinds of meetings and gatherings prohibited in the Shaistaganj railway parking area from Thursday (September 26) to Sunday (September 29).

Among them, after the issuance of Section 144 yesterday (September 26) around 3:00 p.m. in the railway parking area of ​​South Habiganj Ahle Sunnat Oikya Parishad and Tahfizul Qur’an Sunni Foundation Bangladesh organized by a number of people with banners, the police administration came and broke the human chain.
