Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has seized illegal Indian goods worth around half a million rupees in a raid in the Sunamganj border area.

On Friday (September 27), 48 Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Md. Hafizur Rahman confirmed the truth in a press release.

According to BGB sources, on Friday (September 27) based on secret information, BGB raided Sunamganj border area and seized 108 Indian sarees, 16 lehengas, 5410 pieces of skin sign cream, 374 meters of cotton cloth, 8 cows along with sugar, garlic and stones. . The market value of which is approximately 53 lakh 71 thousand 750 taka.

In this regard, Sylhet Battalion 48 BGB captain Lt. Col. Hafizur Rahman said that BGB’s raiding activities and intelligence activities are continuing to protect border security and prevent smuggling. The auction process will be completed by depositing the seized Indian goods at customs.
