Smugglers attacked Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members to snatch seized stolen goods in the Sunamganj district border area. Two BGB members were injured in this. However, two smugglers have been arrested after this incident.

The incident took place at Banglabazar border in Sunamganj at midnight on Monday (December 2).

According to BGB sources, the BGB seized a large quantity of Indian garlic from the Banglabazar border in Sunamganj on Monday night. The smugglers attacked the Banglabazar BOP patrol to snatch the seized garlic. The BGB patrol bravely handled the situation and did not allow them to snatch the goods. Two BGB members were injured in this. After this incident, the two smugglers were arrested and sent to the police station.

Sylhet Battalion 48 BGB Commander Lieutenant Colonel Md. Hafizur Rahman confirmed the matter in a statement and said that he will visit the scene on Tuesday.
