Police have recovered the body of a businessman from the residential hotel Baghdad in Lalbazar area of ​​Sylhet city.

The deceased businessman is Shamsul Alam (50), son of Abdul Barek of Dhaka Mirpur No. 12.

On Thursday (February 20), the SMP Kotwali Model Police Station recovered the body of the deceased from a room in Hotel Baghdad around 12 noon.

According to police and local sources, he had stayed at this residential hotel in Sylhet from Dhaka for business reasons on February 13 (Thursday). The hotel authorities informed the police after receiving no response from the room around 11 am on Thursday. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot, prepared a post-mortem report of the body and sent it to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

Confirming the truth of this matter to The Daily Morning Sun, Kotwali Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Ziaul Haque said, no injury marks were found on the body of the deceased. Details will be known after the autopsy report. Besides, his family has been informed.
