The mobile court of the upazila administration conducted a raid on an adulterated spice factory in Srimangal, Moulvibazar and imposed a fine of 50 thousand taka.
On Thursday (March 20), a raid was conducted at Bhai Bhai Spice Mill on Sagardighi Road in the municipal area of Srimangal town. During this, Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Mohammad Yusuf imposed a fine of 50 thousand taka for the crime of adulterating spices.
Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mohammad Yusuf said that raids were conducted at various spice mills based on consumer complaints. During this, a fine of 50 thousand taka was imposed on Bhai Bhai Spice Mill on Sagardighi Road owned by Khasru Alam under the Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009 for adulterating spices and producing spices in unhygienic conditions.
