BNP Central Vice Chairman, President of Bangladesh Nationalist Lawyers Forum and Vice Chairman of Bangladesh Bar Council Senior Advocate Zainul Abedin said that when BNP talks about returning the voting rights for which the people of Bangladesh sacrificed their lives to bring down fascist Hasina, a class of people react as if we are committing a sin. Those who are conspiring about the elections cannot be friends of the people. The people of the country were deprived of voting rights for 17 years. If there is any conspiracy about the elections, the people of the country will be forced to take to the streets to realize their ownership.

He said, Dr. We have support for the Yunus government. We want the Yunus government to be successful, unless they themselves fail in their work. He referred to the legal community as a mirror of society and said that lawyers have played a very important role in the movement to overthrow the autocratic Ershad and the autocratic Hasina in the past. Nationalist lawyers have provided free assistance to millions of people in false and conspiratorial cases filed by the fascist Awami League, which is highly commendable. He expressed hope that Sylhet lawyers will remain united in the field in all the movements and struggles of the coming days.

He said these things as the chief guest in the organizational exchange meeting of Sylhet District Bar Unit with the central leaders of Bangladesh Nationalist Lawyers Forum at Bar Hall No. 2 of Sylhet Judge Court on Saturday (May 3) at 11:30 am.

Under the chairmanship of Senior Advocate Barrister M Badruddoza Badal, Central Vice President of Nationalist Lawyers Forum and the management of Central Co-Organizing Secretary Kamruzzaman Selim, the main speaker at the meeting was BNP Central Legal Affairs Secretary and Nationalist Lawyers Forum Central Secretary General Barrister Kaiser Kamal.
In his keynote address, Barrister Kaiser Kamal said, we need to learn lessons in politics from the life of our national leader Begum Khaleda Zia. Despite all the torture and oppression, she kept the BNP well-organized and fought for the movement. Her sacrifice is only for the people of this country. He announced that a democratic process will be followed in determining the leadership of the Nationalist Lawyers Forum.
