A youth was arrested along with money for selling drugs in a drive by the Srimangal Police Station in Moulvibazar.

On Monday (June 9), at around 3:30 am, a police team led by SI (Unarmed) Sujan Kanti Pal, under the direction of Srimangal Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Aminul Islam, conducted a drive and arrested drug dealer Nazrul Islam (37) with the help of locals from in front of a grocery shop in Ramnagar Gazipur village of Ashidron union of the upazila.

Police said that the arrested Nazrul Islam is the son of Abdul Basit of Mokambazar Niteshwar area of ​​Moulvibazar Sadar upazila.

The arrested Nazrul Islam had been living in a rented house of one Rubel Mia in Uttar Baraura village of Sadar union of the suburb. Police members searched the arrested accused and recovered 10 pieces of Yaba tablets and 2,600 taka in cash for drug sales.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Srimangal Police Station Md. Aminul Islam said that after filing a case against the arrested person under the Narcotics Control Act, he was sent to jail through the Moulvibazar District Court.
