Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP) new commissioner. Rezaul Karim (PPM-Services) has taken charge. He assumed this responsibility at around 10 am on Thursday (September 5).
Earlier on Tuesday (September 3), Deputy Secretary of Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs. In the notification signed by Mahabur Rahman Sheikh. Rezaul Karim was appointed as SMP Commissioner.
Rezaul Karim was earlier working as Additional DIG in Anti-Terrorism Unit. Before that, he was Superintendent of Police of Jhenaidah District. He got promoted as DIG and posted in Sylhet.
