Government officials must account for assets by November 30

Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration. Md. Mokhles ur Rahman said that all government officials and employees must give an account of their assets by November 30. However, from the next year, the annual asset account must be given by December 31.

He gave this information in a press conference organized in the meeting room of the Ministry of Public Administration on Sunday (September 22).

Dr. Mokhles Ur Rahman said that if irregularities are found in the asset declaration, government employees may be reprimanded and dismissed from their jobs considering the level of crime.

He said that every year by December 31, government employees have to submit the statement of assets. The current year must be submitted by November 30. This account should be submitted to the concerned authority in a sealed envelope. Any wrong information will be punished as per 1979 rules. This official of the Ministry of Public Administration also said that it will be applicable for all government officials and employees.
